Job summary

Lockhart ISD seeks an attentive educator to provide engaging lessons and experiences that promote intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. You will develop plans aligned to the district curriculum and assess student progress while fostering an inclusive classroom culture.

You will collaborate with other teachers and staff to meet district goals, manage classrooms, and support student success. Valid TX certification and endorsements are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align to district curriculum and show written evidence of preparation.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and materials reflecting diverse learning styles and needs.
• Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instruction.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Coordinate with staff to determine instructional goals and methods per district requirements.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers and oversee their work.
