Job summary

Union Ridge Church in Burlington, NC is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead spiritually and administratively. The role centers on biblical teaching, pastoral care, and ministry growth for a ~300-member congregation.

The ideal candidate has a strong calling to shepherd across generations, to nurture families, and to lead with humility, faith, and vision within a Deacon-Board governed church.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in religion; master's in theology preferred.
• At least three years as Senior Pastor or similar.
• Strong ability to teach Scripture clearly and engagingly.
• Heart for ministry, service, and community relationships.
• Ability to multitask and lead with communication and organization.
• Life showing spiritual fruits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as theological and spiritual head of the church.
• Prepare and deliver biblically based sermons weekly.
• Collaborate with Music Director for worship alignment.
• Administer sacraments and coordinate guest speakers.
• Officiate weddings, funerals, baptisms and provide pastoral counselling.
• Lead and participate in Deacon and Official Boards.
• Develop ministries and be active in community evangelism.
• Submit quarterly reports to boards and undergo reviews.
