Qualifications

• Must be able to effectively teach and communicate with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing a program of continuous progress to meet student needs and district goals.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and student-centeredness.
• Provides supervision of students and maintains classroom order at all times.
• Prepares for classes and shows evidence of preparation to the principal.
• Meets and instructs assigned classes at designated times and locations.
• Sets clear objectives for activities and communicates them to students and parents.
• Uses varied instructional methods, media, and materials to meet objectives.
• Assesses student progress and provides required progress reports.
• Follows district guidance and curriculum.
• Analyzes individual student progress and seeks assistance as needed.
• Collaborates with staff to plan instructional goals and methods.
• Plans for teacher aides/volunteers and provides substitute plans.
• Engages parents through positive communication and schedules conferences.
• Provides availability to students and parents for educational purposes.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and policy.
