Job summary

LEAP Academy University Charter School is seeking an experienced, passionate Spanish Teacher for grades 6–8 for the 2026/2027 school year. The role requires delivery of standards-aligned instruction, data-driven progress monitoring, and strong parent communication to support student growth.

The position is a 10-month contracted role with salary starting at $60,000 plus comprehensive benefits, professional development, and pension options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• NJ state teacher certification (Standard Certificate, CE, or CEAS) or eligibility for reciprocity with out-of-state certificate.
• Experience in urban classroom settings.
• Documented experience using data-driven instruction to achieve significant student gains.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers curriculum aligned with LEAP's goals and district objectives.
• Creates safe, inclusive classrooms supporting individual and small-group instruction.
• Plans lessons and materials and translates plans into engaging learning experiences.
• Assesses student learning and differentiates instruction for diverse needs, including SPED.
• Communicates with students, families, and leadership to promote success.
• Maintains accurate records of student achievement and attendance.
