Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, NJ seeks a passionate Middle School Spanish Teacher to join a diverse learning community. You will teach five sections across seventh to ninth grade, collaborate weekly with the grade-level team, and serve as an advisor while chaperoning trips and supporting after-hours activities.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's (Master's preferred), at least three years' experience in middle school instruction, and a commitment to equity, multilingual education, and

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred), with a strong emphasis on degrees in related fields.
• At least three years of teaching experience, with a strong background in Middle School or ninth grade instruction.
• Knowledge of diversity, multiculturalism, and anti-bias education in all aspects of the work.
• Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills in English; ability to teach other languages (French).
• Leadership of after-school activities (in athletics, the arts, or other programs).

Responsibilities

• Teach five sections of middle school Spanish across seventh, eighth, and ninth grade.
• Meet weekly with the grade level team to coordinate instruction and curriculum.
• Attend weekly departmental and divisional meetings after school.
• Serve as an advisor to a small group of Middle School students.
• Chaperone overnight field trips and day trips.
• Provide extra help during TAG periods, before school, or other times as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
