Peachtree Academy, a private Christian school in Georgia, is seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher. You will teach history, civics, geography, and global cultures in a Christ-centered environment, guiding students to become informed, thoughtful citizens.

The role emphasizes engaging, standards-aligned instruction, high expectations, and the use of project-based and hands-on learning to connect classroom concepts to the real world.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in History, Social Studies, Education or related field.
• Teaching certification in Georgia or another state, or ability to obtain.
• Previous teaching experience in middle or high school is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction and use innovative teaching methods.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional school team.
• Commitment to high academic and behavioral expectations.
• Alignment with Peachtree Academy's Christian mission and values.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Studies instruction aligned with curriculum and Georgia standards.
• Develop meaningful learning experiences promoting critical thinking, discussion, collaboration, and engagement.
• Incorporate varied instructional strategies, resources, technology, and differentiated instruction.
• Utilize project-based and hands-on learning to enhance understanding.
• Assess and monitor student progress through various assessments.
• Provide timely feedback and communicate progress to students and parents.
• Maintain professional communication with parents, department heads, and administration.
• Maintain a positive, safe, structured classroom environment focused on academics.
• Support school mission and Christian values in daily interactions.
• Collaborate with faculty and Principal to support student success.
