Job summary

Achievement First in Providence, RI is seeking teachers to deliver exceptional instruction while growing professionally. You will develop a positive, achievement-oriented learning environment and collaborate with families to support student growth.

You will use interim assessments to tailor instruction, implement team lesson plans, and model AF core values in all interactions. Professional development and coaching are part of weekly practice.

Qualifications

• Experience working with K-12 students; two years teaching preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree with GPA ≥3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
• Rhode Island certification or in process for role.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, structured learning environment that inspires students to set ambitious goals.
• Build classroom community by partnering with families to support academic and personal development.
• Utilize interim assessment data to drive instruction and interventions.
• Implement unit and lesson plans with the grade-level team.
• Model AF core values in interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
• Collaborate with coach, grade-level chair and school team to improve instructional and leadership skills.
• Attend all professional development and data-analysis meetings.
