Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and NC Teaching certification or eligibility.
• Ability to implement policies and standards in the classroom.
• Experience with IEPs and 504 Plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Plan and implement a program of study in the assigned content area.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using various teaching methods.
• Meet with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and needs.
• Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation.
• Diagnose learning challenges and maintain IEP/504 documentation.
• Provide instruction for all students including those with disabilities.
• Observe and assess student progress and behavior regularly.
• Conduct enrichment and remediation as needed.
• Communicate objectives and progress to students and families.
