Job summary

The Public Schools of Brookline is seeking a part-time Cross Country Coach for the Fall Intramural Season at the Roland Hayes School in Brookline, MA. A CORI check and fingerprinting are required, along with U.S. work authorization by day one, and knowledge of middle school athletics is essential.

Responsibilities include planning activities, coordinating with intramural coordinators, communicating with families, and ensuring a positive, inclusive sporting environment for students.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rules and understanding of middle school athletics.
• Concussion awareness training certification.
• All employees must undergo a CORI verification and fingerprinting process prior to the start of their employment.
• Current authorization to work in the United States- must have authorization by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement all team activities.
• Collaborate with the District Intramural Coordinators to participate in the Cross Country meets.
• Communicate necessary information with all athletes and families.
• Work with the Building Sports Coordinator to implement rules and regulations.
• Develop sport-specific skills for all players.
• Model sportsmanship, good conduct and an inclusive environment.
• Provide a positive atmosphere for all players, coaches and spectators. Encourage school spirit.
• Report to Building Principal and Building Sports Coordinator.
