Job summary

Oregon Trail Academy seeks a qualified Physical Education teacher for K–8 to design a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate PE program. You will foster a safe, inclusive learning environment that builds motor skills, fitness, teamwork, and lifelong health.

The role requires an Oregon teaching license with a PE endorsement, a bachelor's in PE, CPR/First Aid, and fingerprint clearance. Experience with SHAPE America standards and differentiation for diverse learners is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of age-appropriate physical education curriculum and SHAPE America standards.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive PE lessons for K–8.
• Strong behavior management and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver standards-aligned PE lessons for K–8.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners and accommodate IEPs/504s.
• Assess student progress with fitness and skill measures and report results.
