Job summary

Nexus Family Healing is seeking a Jr. High Special Education Teacher for Grand Prairie School at our Onarga, IL location. You will deliver direct instruction to students with disabilities, collaborate with a team, and help develop IEPs to promote academic and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Direct instruction for students with disabilities in inclusion and/or special education settings.
• Academic evaluations and writing reports for initial and triennial assessments.
• Develops, implements, and monitors IEPs.
• Shares IEP progress updates with parents as outlined in the plan.
• Participates in IEP meetings for both inclusion and self-contained students.
• Interprets assessment data to inform instructional decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in inclusion and/or special education settings.
• Collects and analyzes student performance data to guide instruction and improve outcomes.
• Plans instruction tailored to students’ individual needs, interests, and abilities.
