Job summary

Northwest Yeshiva High School on Mercer Island seeks a full-time High School Mathematics teacher to foster a love for math and make learning accessible for all students. You will teach courses from Algebra 1 through AP Calculus and differentiate instruction for diverse learners.

We value collaboration, strong communication with families, and a commitment to a rigorous dual curriculum within a mission-driven community. A secondary math teaching certification is required (out-of-state ok).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in math or related discipline.
• Experience in math education at the secondary level.
• Secondary Math Teaching Certification required (may accept out of state valid certification).

Responsibilities

• Teach 3–4 yearlong math courses from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus.
• Collaborate with math faculty to develop standards and curricula.
• Provide regular communication with students and parents about progress.
• Establish a safe, disciplined, engaging learning environment.
• Assess student progress and tailor instruction to individual needs.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders including students, parents, and staff.
