Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum and show written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines, board policies, and admin regulations.
• Plan and use instructional strategies, materials, and equipment reflecting students' needs.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Work with special education teachers to modify curriculum per IEP guidelines.
• Plan and supervise assignments of aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues and the community.
