Qualifications

• Master’s degree and NYS Teaching Certification or equivalent.
• Experience teaching high school mathematics preferred.
• Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to develop engaging lessons using instructional design tools.
• Experience with Project-Based Instruction and assessment.
• Strong communication with students, parents, colleagues and staff.
• Experience in Catholic/private school environments advantageous.
• Familiarity with standardized testing and diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons on algebra, geometry and trigonometry; may teach other courses.
• Design curriculum aligned to standards for diverse learners.
• Use technology to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Maintain positive classroom environment and manage behavior.
• Assess progress via tests, quizzes, projects; adjust strategies.
• Provide tutoring and academic advising beyond class hours.
• Collaborate on curriculum development and educational initiatives.
• Moderate a club or coach a sport is a plus.
