Qualifications

• Indiana Department of Education certification required.
• Ability to plan and organize.
• Skills in human relations.
• Ability to communicate effectively before groups of students and parents.
• Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board.

Responsibilities

• Classroom planning, instruction, and management.
• Personalizes instructional materials and shows written evidence of preparation.
• Plans purposeful assignments for substitute teachers, teacher assistants, and student teachers when applicable.
• Assists in the evaluation, selection, and requisition of books, equipment, audio-visuals, and other supplementary materials.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of subject matter.
• Diagnoses and develops plans for the learning problems of students appropriate to the level of achievement.
