Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Michigan Elementary Teacher Certificate required.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers across grade levels.
• Familiarity with course content standards and expectations.
• Willingness to learn current educational strategies and curriculum.
• Ability to plan and implement activities for maximum effectiveness.
• Basic knowledge of technology and classroom integration.

Responsibilities

• Teach district approved curriculum.
• Instruct students in citizenship and subject matter.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Instruct and monitor students with learning materials and equipment.
• Communicate with students and parents regularly and clearly.
• Establish and maintain standards of student behavior.
• Evaluate student growth and prepare progress reports and report cards.
• Attend IEP meetings for students with special needs.
• Collaborate with grade level teachers across grades.
• Provide a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal/Superintendent.
