Job summary

UCP of Central Florida is seeking a Teacher – Elementary ESE Self Contained Classroom to lead instruction for a small class of 9–12 students with significant behavioral needs. You will implement IEP goals, collect progress data, and collaborate with families and therapists to support each student.

The role requires a Florida teaching certificate in Elementary/PreK-3 with an Exceptional Education endorsement, or in process, plus 1–3 years of relevant classroom experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Florida Professional Teaching Certificate – Elementary Education or PreK-3rd (based on grades taught).
• Exceptional Education Endorsement and ESOL Endorsement (or in process).
• Prefer Autism Endorsement.
• Minimum 1–3 years teaching experience in a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow Danielson instructional framework protocols to deliver high-quality instruction.
• Plan and prepare lessons and maintain a structured classroom environment.
• Lead IEP team discussions, draft IEP goals using collected data.
• Collect and analyze behavioral and academic data to tailor instruction.
• Provide instruction in standard and modified curriculum; use Access Points.
• Develop and implement functional behavior assessments and behavior interventions.
• Communicate progress with families and involve them in planning strategies.
• Maintain compliant reporting and safety protocols, including crisis plans.
