Job summary

Avondale School District in Troy, Michigan is seeking an ECSE Paraeducator to support early childhood special education students at Woodland Learning Center. Qualifications

• Associates Degree preferred.
• ETS Parapro Assessment required.
• Training or coursework in early childhood, education or child development.
• Experience working with groups of children.

Responsibilities

• Provides general education classroom support as directed by the special education teacher.
• Assist in student orientation.
• Assist disabled students with education, personal, health and behavioral needs as trained.
• Maintain communication with teachers regarding students.
• Assist with classroom operations and material setup.
• Supervise students using computers and participate in staff development.
