Job summary

The teacher will plan curriculum-based lessons, differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs, assess student progress, and maintain a safe, engaging learning environment while collaborating with families and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in early childhood/elementary education or related field.
• Demonstrates knowledge of child development and curriculum.
• Proficient in current educational technology and learning styles.
• Strong oral and written communication with students, parents and staff.
• Ability to plan, implement and assess instructional activities.
• Experience using standardized assessments for student growth.

Responsibilities

• Create long-range and unit plans aligned to curriculum priorities.
• Set goals for daily and unit learning outcomes.
• Sequence content and activities for logical progressions.
• Identify measurable learning outcomes and adjust plans as needed.
• Plan varied activities considering diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Develop instructional materials supporting learning objectives.
