Job summary

Winston-Salem State University invites applications for Spring/Summer 2027 Chemistry Faculty adjunct positions. Candidates must hold a master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics, or a related field, and demonstrate ability to teach undergraduate General, Analytical, and/or Organic Chemistry, and General Physics in person.

Responsibilities include following a syllabus, using a Learning Management System (Canvas) for grades, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Physics or related field.
• At least 1 year of successful teaching experience.
• Ability to teach General, Analytical, and/or Organic Chemistry and General Physics in person.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and General Physics in person.
• Prepare assignments, tests, and quizzes aligned to a syllabus.
• Maintain grades, attendance, and final grades in the LMS.
• Utilize instrumentation (GC, FTIR, GC-MS, HPLC, AA) for instructional use.
