Job summary

The Catholic Diocese of Wichita seeks a dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to foster faith-based learning and academic excellence within a Catholic school community. In partnership with parents, you will implement a standards-based science curriculum, uphold diocesan policies, and support students' spiritual, intellectual, and social growth in a supportive on-site classroom.

Kansas State Certification for 6-12 education is required.
Experience in Catholic school settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Promulgates teachings consistent with established Catholic principles and conducts self at all times in a manner consistent with Catholic moral standards.
Holds a valid diocesan teacher's contract and Kansas teaching license.
Collaborates with the principal to build a faith community among faculty, staff, and students.
Carries out all teaching assignments and other responsibilities as assigned by the principal or outlined in the school's faculty handbook.
Implements diocesan curriculum, policies, guidelines and programs.
Plans the educational process and implements instructional activities that provide the best opportunity for students to master required outcomes.
Provides for the proper supervision of students at all times.
