Qualifications

• Master's degree in a mental health related field from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least three years of post-master's level proven work experience as a practicing psychotherapist.
• Knowledge of major treatment modalities, instructional techniques, and computer skills related to courses taught.
• Ability to facilitate in-class skill-building exercises based on simulated scenarios.
• Proven ability to work with others and engage with diverse student populations.
• All instructors must meet the appropriate credentialing requirements for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare course materials, class lectures, and in-class skill-building activities.
• Evaluating student progress through examinations and assignments.
• Evaluating student practical skills.
• Actively supporting student success through academic advising.
• Participating in department, division, or adjunct faculty meetings.
• Maintaining an active program of professional development related to individual, professional, and institutional needs.
• Responding to student inquiries regarding course content, grading, and other academic concerns.
• Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education
