Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the grade level.
• Criminal background check completed as required.
• Meet WV Code qualifications for teaching per WV Code §18A-3-2a.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Kanawha County Schools' standards-based curriculum based on WV Content Standards and Objectives.
• Implement adopted and supplemental academic programs and 21st Century technology skills.
• Collaborate with special education staff and teachers.
• Plan and implement designated co-curricular activities and/or field trips.
• Be accountable for individual student achievement and personalized learning.
• Maintain classroom control and communicate with students, parents and peers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
