Responsibilities

Teach Elementary Education to elementary students.
Plan a program of study that meets individual needs, interests and abilities.
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
Prepare for classes assigned and show evidence of preparation.
Encourage students to maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Assess student progress and provide reports; notify parents as needed.
Diagnose learning disabilities and seek district specialist assistance as required.
Take precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
Maintain accurate records as required by policy and regulation.
Work cooperatively with staff and parents.
Perform other duties as assigned.
