Job summary

ESS is seeking a Substitute Teacher for Western Wayne School District in South Canaan, PA. As an ESS substitute, you will assist with classroom instruction when the regular teacher is absent, follow prepared lesson plans, and help students understand subject matter while maintaining classroom routines.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree or PA Teacher Certification, Act 86 qualifications, and all mandated clearances.

• Suicide Prevention Training - Act 71
• Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release - Act 168

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful instruction to students in assigned classrooms while regular teacher is absent
• Review and implement regular teacher's routines, procedures, lesson plans, and curriculum objectives
• Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment
• Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration
• Perform other duties as directed by school administration
