Togetherhood, LLC is building a marketplace connecting educators with schools and communities to offer enrichment programs in Martial Arts for K-12 students in DC. This after-school instructor role lasts 6 to 18 weeks per term.

We value enthusiasm, creativity, and a commitment to building engaging, inclusive classrooms. You will be contracted per class with potential ongoing opportunities and a materials budget for classes as needed.

Qualifications

• Has subject matter expertise in Martial Arts (Karate, Taekwondo, MMA, BJJ).
• Passion and skill for building hands-on projects with kids.
• Joy and passion for teaching kids and personal development/learning.
• Ability to create a fun, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
• Brings voice and creativity to each class you teach.
• Cooperative, supportive, flexible and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Develop age-appropriate Martial Arts curriculum for after-school students.
• Lead weekly in-person classes with enthusiasm and expertise.
• Establish a well-structured and lively classroom that keeps students engaged.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment for students of varying skill levels.
• Track student growth and offer constructive feedback.
• Arrive prepared, on time, and ready to teach.
