Qualifications

• Must hold a valid South Carolina teaching certificate in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered as determined by the Board.

Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities and state standards.
• Establishes clear objectives for all activities and communicates these to students.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable for location constraints and student needs.
• Uses effective classroom management to create a conducive learning environment.
• Seeks to implement the District's educational philosophy and objectives in instruction.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
