Job summary

BMW Group in the United States seeks an Inspector Installer in Jersey City, NJ. This full-time role on the first shift involves conducting quality inspections, performing basic vehicle repairs, and installing accessories.

You will program vehicles, manage A-Check-ins, rotate through production areas, and support wholesale objectives. The position requires lifting up to 50 lb, driving, and the ability to work overtime; hourly rate is $31.52 with potential overtime and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of general work experience or a combination of associates degree or higher and general work experience equaling less than 1 year.
• Working knowledge of the VMS Service Order System.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Q-gate inspections, vehicle quality audits, and basic vehicle repairs.
• Perform accessory installations, QC-1, and remediation on basic/light campaign vehicles.
• Program vehicles and handle A-Check-ins (VDC transfer vehicles); rotate across production areas to support wholesale objectives.
• Execute daily 6S in the work area.
• Support inventory audits, special events, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct battery voltage checks/maintenance and order parts as needed.
• Uphold company core values and engage in continuous learning.
