Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Protection Inspector. The role involves assisting in fire protection inspections and performing maintenance under direct supervision. You will gain knowledge of fire safety codes and systems, completing necessary training and certification.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 0-2 years of relevant experience. Strong problem-solving, customer service, and communication skills are essential. Frequent local travel is required, along with compliance to safety protocols.
Responsible for gaining a working knowledge of and performing fire protection inspections and 24-hour service under direct supervision of an Inspection/Service Technician.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift <50 lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods. The employee must see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus. The employee will occasionally be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50 lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.
Frequent local travel and occasional regional and non-regional travel is required. The employee will frequently work inside and outside in hot or cold temperatures and be exposed to loud noises, cramped quarters, dust, fumes and odors, standing on hard surfaces, and electrical hazards. Employees will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, moving machinery, uneven and slippery surfaces. The employee must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment as required by company safety policies.
