Job description

Come join our team at Kinetic where we offer all those and an air-conditioned world-class facility. We are seeking a skilled Inspector/Tester. In this role you will be responsible for performing final inspection of completed product line for conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish.

What’s in the job:
  • Make dimensional, mechanical inspection and test of diversified line of standard products, assemblies, sub-assemblies, units and components for size, and to ensure conformance with quality standards, conformity to size, mechanical performance, finish, and appearance.
  • Assist with devising dimensional gauging set ups, do part layout inspection and assist in establishing part inspection procedures.
  • Inspect purchased parts, parts from outside vendors, and incoming materials.
  • Perform surface plate inspection of part layout, floor inspection of first and subsequent piece part and/or inspection check of sub and final assemblies.
  • Responsible for documenting NCM’s, in-process inspection reports, final inspection reports, and customer inspection certifications.
  • Train associates on proper use and maintenance of inspection measurement instruments, apparatus, machines and equipment.
  • Use of a variety of precision measuring instruments, test sets and gauging equipment.
What does it take:
  • HSD/GED required.
  • 3-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Must be able to read blueprints at a level equivalent to the MATC Blueprint Reading Class.
  • Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Must regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.
