Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Rochester, NY, is seeking an Inspector to support the manufacturing process at our facility. The role involves inspecting forged metal seamless rings, setting up measurement equipment, and ensuring products meet tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will read precision tools, hold forklift certification, and have manufacturing experience. A 12-hour shift may be required; respirator use may be necessary for certain tasks.

Qualifications

• Must be able to accurately read standard measuring tools (ruler, Vernier, calipers).
• Must be able to be certified as a Howmet EHS and OSHA qualified forklift operator with previous forklift operation experience.
• Must have previous experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Candidates should be flexible to work up to a 12-hour shift.
• May be required to wear a respirator for certain tasks.

Responsibilities

• Audit parts for conformance to procedures and inspection results.

• Prepare non-conforming material reports.
• Maintain a clean and orderly inspection area.
• Perform final production inspection.

Responsibilities

Howmet Engine Systems has an immediate opening for an Inspector to assist in the manufacturing process at our facility in Rochester, NY.

Basic Function:

Inspection of Forged metal seamless rings for aerospace.

Responsibilities:

Perform set-up of measuring and test equipment as needed to determine dimensional measurements required on customer or in-house product drawings or blueprints

Perform set-up and inspection of those products requiring very close tolerances

Perform over-inspections on outside machining

Audit parts for conformance to procedures and results of inspections

Perform first article inspections and prepare inspection records as required

Prepare non-conforming material reports

Maintain a clean and orderly inspection area

Perform final production inspection

Salary Range: $19/hr. temp to hire.
