Job description

Role: Inspector
Location: Homebased - Midlands
Specialism: Secondary Care
Grade B: £39,784 (National Framework) or £45,456 (London Framework - if you are London office based or homebased and live within the boundary of the M25)

About the Role

We are recruiting Secondary Care professionals aiming to develop a career as Inspectors, based in the Midlands region. As a CQC Inspector, you will deliver regulation, observation visits, inspections, and evidence gathering to assess quality and safety across providers in England, ensuring high standards of care.

Essential Skills
  • Secondary Care expertise and a passion for working in CQC.
  • Experience in Health, Social Care, NHS, or regulatory environments, preferably at a management level.
  • Strong background in assessment, regulation, and managing provider regulatory risk.
  • Ability to translate regulatory policy into practical actions.
  • Operational risk management expertise.
  • Analytical skills and experience in driving innovation and improvement.
  • Ability to use data for decision-making and quality enhancement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and managing difficult conversations.
  • Experience in assurance and quality management processes.
  • This is a home-based role, but travel within the Midlands region is required.

Travel & Application Details

Inspectors will need to travel within their Network area. The closing date is extended to Monday 30th June 2025, 11:59 pm.

We prioritize applications from Shropshire, Staffordshire, and the Black Country. Immediate vacancies may not be available in all areas; successful candidates may be contacted when suitable positions arise.

Selection Process
