Job summary

LCI seeks an Inspector, QA to perform quality raw material receiving, in-process, and end item inspection at defined points of inspection at our Louisville facility.

The position requires attention to detail, accuracy in record-keeping, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Monday-Friday, on-site with limited travel.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with ability to keep accurate records.
• Knowledge and experience with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, protractors, tape measures).
• Ability to read and interpret contracts.
• Ability to analyze data to detect trends and communicate them to management.
• Ability to communicate with manager and co-workers professionally.

Responsibilities

• Obtain random samples from incoming materials and evaluate conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of materials and finished goods.
• Assist in writing procedures, work instructions and inspection report forms for area of expertise.
• Obtain random samples from outgoing pallets of finished product and check with laboratory instruments that samples meet standards.
• Collects pertinent data to ensure processes are within tolerance levels.
• Conducts required testing procedures as outlined by customer specifications.
• Enter data into usable programs for management review.

About This Role

The Inspector, QA performs quality raw material receiving, work in-process, and end item inspection at defined points of inspection.

LOCATION AND SCHEDULE

Louisville, KY (with less than 25% travel to FL) Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Obtains random samples from incoming materials and evaluates for conformance to specifications.
• Performs routine checks, tests, gauging and instrument inspections of materials and finished goods.
• Assist in writing procedures, work instructions and inspection report forms for area of expertise.
• Obtain random samples from outgoing pallets of finished product and check with laboratory instruments that the samples meet company quality standards and customer’s color code standards.
• Collects pertinent data to ensure processes are within tolerance levels.
• Conducts required testing procedures as outlined by customer specifications.
• Enters data into usable programs for management review.

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) with ability to keep accurate, neat records.
• Must have knowledge and experience with test equipment such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, scales, protractors, tape measures, etc.
• Must be able to read and interpret contracts.
• Must be able to analyze data to detect trends and communicate them to management.
• Must be able to communicate with manager and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
