Job summary

ProAmpac in Rosemount, MN is seeking a Bag Inspector to join our 1st shift (3am–3pm), Monday through Friday. You will inspect bags on the production line for defects, count bags per pallet, and assist teammates to maintain smooth operations on the line.

The role requires basic math, reading and writing skills, color perception, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer comprehensive benefits, paid holidays, 401(k) with match, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect bags for defects by flipping through and checking seal ends.
• Discharge poor quality bags and set aside bags for replacements.
• Count and record bags per pallet and communicate with Bottomer Operator.
• Assist other inspectors and perform additional tasks as needed to maintain production.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the inspection area.

Rate: $21.86 USD per hour

Our Rosemount, MN facility is in need of a Bag Inspector to join our team! We are looking to fill our 1st Shift (3am - 3pm) Monday - Friday. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. • Pulls hands of bags onto inspection table, and inspects by flipping through bags, looking at sealed ends for open ends, doubles, triples, crocked folds, turn backs, turn under, loosely sealed folds, improper sized gussets, and lack of anti-skid or lacquer.
• Sets aside a hand of bags at the beginning of an order, or when needed, to replace those periodically checked and torn down.
• Discards any poor quality bags.
• Reclaims bags by using glue gun.
• Notifies the Bottomer Operator if there is a continual problem.
• Counts and records number of bags stacked on each pallet for shift, and turns into records number of bags stacked on each pallet for shift, and turns into Bottomer Operator.
• Assists other inspectors by sweeping and inspecting, when all work in area is complete.
• Any additional tasks assigned by management to ensure continuity of production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to bend, twist and kneel.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand continuously for 2 – 3 hours.
• Ability to perceive colors.
• Must have manual dexterity.
