Pretium Packaging in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Packer to inspect and package plastic products, ensuring quality and readiness for shipment. This full-time position emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork, and dependable work habits.

Responsibilities include labeling, packaging to specifications, and maintaining a safe, clean work area while supporting production efficiency. Starting pay is $16/hr with a $2 shift differential, plus comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory of packaging materials and notify when replenishment is needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished plastic products for defects, such as cracks, deformities, or color inconsistencies.
• Package plastic products according to specifications, including selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper sealing.
• Label packages accurately with product information and any necessary warning labels.
• Monitor and maintain production line efficiency by identifying and resolving any packaging or production issues.
• Communicate any quality concerns or issues to supervisors and collaborate on solutions.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and adhering to safety guidelines.
• Monitor and control inventory of packaging materials and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
• Attention to detail and the ability to spot defects or inconsistencies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
