Description du poste

Tasks

Read packaging documents to determine product specifications. Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards. Remove finished packaged items from the machine and separate rejected items. Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor. Stock and sort products for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, ink, trays, or labels. Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material. Clean and remove damaged or otherwise inferior materials to prepare raw products for processing (break down empty handle boxes). Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as hazards, pile-ups, and product jams. Stack finished packaged items, or wrap protective material around each item, and pack the items in cartons or containers (hand stretch wrap finished pallet). Record operational data such as finished and rejected packaged items (identify and categorize defect). Package the product in the form in which it will be sent out. For example: 120 pails per pallet/ 880 covers per pallet. Assemble corrugated shipping containers, trays, and boxes. Perform final inspection of product (check product for de-nest, count covers for proper stack height).

Requirements

Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem (product jamming up under molding machine). Ability to see details at close range (such as color swirls molded in contamination). Ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness (White or Natural). Ability to make precisely coordinated movement of both arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, manipulate, or assemble small objects (install ¾" vents and push in fittings in line - 12 covers per minute). Ability to quickly and repeatedly bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with your body, arms, and/or legs. Ability to make fast, simple, repeated movement of the fingers, hands, and wrists (install plastic and or wire handles in pails). Oral Comprehension. Written Comprehension (direction from packaging documents i.e. pack size C.W.L. location). Ability to identify or detect differences among product such as flash, mold, contamination, under fill, etc. Ability to quickly and accurately compare similarities and differences among product. The things to be compared may be presented at the same time or one after the other. This ability also includes comparing a presented object with a remembered object. Ability to load/unload, or stack products.
