Job summary

Sealed Air in Ashland, Ohio is seeking an Inspector/Packer to inspect and pack bags, ensuring safety, quality and productivity on the production line.

No prior experience is required; on‑the‑job training provided. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic computer skills.

Afternoon shift with a $2.00 shift premium; pay rate $18.50 per hour. Manufacturing plant, climate controlled, with comprehensive benefits and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and pack quality bags into box/tote per bag specifications.
• Ensure box/tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification.
• Report any suspect or defective product for review and decision.
• Work as a team with others assigned to machine, including helping operators as needed.
• Practice 5S, Good House Keeping, and Machine Sanitation per company standards.
• Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines in production facility.
• Complete all documentation completely and accurately.
• Assist in the training of other Inspector/Packer personnel.
• Other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Position Overview

The primary function of the Inspector/Packer is inspecting and packing bags to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality on product line.
• Responsible for inspecting and packing quality bags into box/tote per bag specifications.
