Job summary

TenCate Protective Fabrics is seeking a Production Quality Inspector at the Nonwoven Plant in Senoia, GA. You will conduct regular visual inspections of web quality, detect defects, document results, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

This full-time, on-site role runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with possible overtime. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be comfortable working in a noisy plant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular visual inspections and audits along production lines for web quality and defects.
  • Repair defects from fabric using steel pick, scissors, or burling iron and cut non-repairable defects.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs and inputting data into quality database.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations.
  • Contribute to team goals by achieving related results as needed.

Job Details
Essential Functions
  • Conduct regular visual inspections and audits along continuous production lines for web uniformity, defects, roll winding, and edge alignment.
  • Repairs defects from fabric such as slubs or loose ends using steel pick, scissors, or burling iron. Cut non-repairable defects from fabric, using scissors.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a plant environment. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this) and the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand (for extended periods of time), and hear. The employee will be required to reach with hands and arms, push, pull and/or lift, climb or balance, kneel and frequently lift to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand actions, including grasping and fine manipulations, is an essential part of the job’s physical demands. The employee must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Weekend and overtime work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Little to no travel is expected for this position.
