Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Stuart, FL is seeking a skilled inspector to ensure that parts and assemblies meet the highest quality standards before reaching customers. This onsite role features a 3:15 PM–11:45 PM schedule with a 10% shift differential.

As an Inspector, you will perform detailed inspections using gauges and visual checks, interpret drawings, verify certifications, and work with production and engineering to maintain ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in quality control (aerospace preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
• Must meet ITAR/EAR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products using inspection gauges, scales, and visual inspection prior to shipment.
• Perform complex geometric layout inspections using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
• Prepare and submit first article inspections to customer requirements.
• Verify certifications and testing of incoming raw materials.
• Act as Designated Quality Representative for customers to release products for shipment.
• Examine materials or products for surface defects such as cracks or pits.
• Compare products with parts lists or sample models to ensure completion of assemblies.
• Verify dimensional compliance with drawings and customer requirements.
• Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff on quality standards.
• Perform in-process inspection and testing throughout manufacturing to ensure compliance.

About The Opportunity

As an Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance before reaching our customers. You will be responsible for performing detailed inspections of parts and assemblies using a variety of tools and techniques, interpreting engineering drawings, and working closely with production and engineering teams.

Location: Stuart, FL. Onsite. Monday to Friday, 3:15 PM to 11:45 PM (10% Shift Differential).

Responsibilities

• Inspect products using various inspection gages, scales, and visual inspection prior to product shipment
• Perform complex geometric layout inspection using standard variable gaging and relative mathematics.
• Prepare and submit first article inspections to customer requirements
• Verification of certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
• Function as Designated Quality Representative for various customers to release products for shipment.
• Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities.
• Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
• Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
• Interprets engineering drawings and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Performs in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
  

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in Quality Control function (Commercial or Aerospace environment preferred)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
• Must be able to understand and interpret customer drawings and engineering sketches
• Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL
  

Working Conditions

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
• Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
