Job summary

Fresenius Kabi USA seeks a Production Inspector to visually inspect filled products and support capping operations in a regulated manufacturing setting. The role requires attention to quality, basic math, and strong written/spoken English for precise documentation and communication.

The incumbent will work in the filling line environment, perform start-up checks, maintain inspection qualifications, and ensure batches meet quality standards in a fast-paced plant.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1–3 years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to perform required calculations.
• Visual ability to detect defective vials.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must maintain acceptable visual acuity.
• Must be able to maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect filled product off the filling line following SOP and cGMP.
• Work in the Capping Department and off-line inspection area with knowledge of procedures and equipment.
• Visually inspect products for defects.
• Document work accurately and promptly.
• Comply with SOPs and cGMPs.
• Set up, adjust, and operate inspection machines and cappers.
• Perform and document critical start-up procedures for filling operations.
• Perform and document quality checks on product.
• Calculate percent defective on inspection results and reconcile components on batch records.
• Load and unload vials from turntables.
• Stack, wrap and move pallets of product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour. Overnight Shift Differential: $1.75 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for visually inspecting filled product off the filling line following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP).
• The production inspector will work in the Capping Department and on the off-line inspection area and therefore must be knowledgeable of procedures and equipment in each area.
• Visually inspects products for various defects.
• Documents work accurately and timely.
• Complies with current SOP’s and cGMP’s.
• Sets-up, adjusts, and operates equipment such as inspection machines, cappers, etc.
• Performs and documents critical start-up procedures for filling operation such as filter integrity test, line clearance, component verification, etc.
• Performs and documents quality checks on product.
• Calculates percent defective on inspection results and reconciles components on batch record.
• Loads and unloads vials from turntables.
• Stacks, wraps and moves pallets of product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One (1) to three (3) years pharmaceutical experience preferred.
• Basic math skills to perform required calculations (multiplication/division).
• Visual ability to detect defective vials.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Must maintain acceptable visual acuity.
• Must be able to maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.
