• Represent the OIG in meetings with GAO, DOJ, and other federal agencies on fraud prevention, waste reduction, and internal controls

Key Responsibilities

The candidate selected for this position will: Plan, develop, and implement an independent audit program to review PBGC's programs and operations which encompasses (1) examination of financial transactions, accounts, and reports, including evaluations of compliance with applicable laws and regulations; (2) review of PBGC programs' efficiency and economy in the use of resources; (3) reviews to determine whether desired program results are effectively achieved; and (4) reviews to determine whether positive management controls are in place to lend support to managerial assessments of internal control sufficiency.

Oversee the development of long-range strategies and goals to minimize the opportunities for the occurrence of fraud and waste as well as to develop innovative techniques and systems utilizing Super Intelligence (SI) to promote economy and efficiency in Agency operations. Oversee the activities of investigators who conduct highly sensitive reviews regarding specific criminal allegations or allegations of non-compliance with Agency and/or federal laws and regulations.

Represent the OIG in meetings with the Government Accountability Office, Department of Justice, and other federal agencies or entities with information relevant to preventing and detecting fraud, waste, mismanagement, and abuse in PBGC programs.
