Job summary

Conval is a leader in engineering, marketing, and manufacturing of Severe Service Industrial Valves. We are seeking an Inspector to perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured parts, ensuring conformance to drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Knowledge of database or manufacturing software preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
• Experience using gauges (micrometers, calipers, height stands).
• Prior inspection experience required.
• CMM experience preferred.
• NDT penetrant testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs first piece, in-process, and final dimensional inspections on manufactured parts and components.
• Performs receiving inspection activities for purchased parts, components, materials, and services.
• Performs Commercial Dedication inspections.
• Records inspection results.
• Documents non-conformance to drawings or specifications.

• Performs receiving inspection activities associated with purchased parts, components, material, and services
• Performs Commercial Dedication inspections
• Records inspection results
• Documents non-conformance to drawing or specification requirements

Requirements

Qualifications to be a Conval Inspector:

• Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Knowledge database software or manufacturing software preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Prior experience using gauges such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands
• Previous inspection experience is required
• Experience operating a CMM preferred
• Experience with NDT Penetrant Testing is a plus
