Job summary

Dynomax Inc. is seeking an experienced Inspector for its Connector Assembly team to ensure quality through precise inspection and testing of components and sub-assemblies.

You will read blueprints, verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and optical devices, and document results. The role requires 3+ years in mechanical inspection, a high school diploma, and the ability to work at a microscope with small parts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an Operator, Assembler, or Inspector in mechanical inspection.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient with measuring instruments and optical devices.
• Familiar with IPC610/IPC620/IPC J-STD-001 is a plus.
• GD&T knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to work at a microscope and handle miniature parts with precision tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PDF viewing/editing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and measure dimensions of products using approved measuring instruments and optical devices.
• Notify supervisors about rejected products and follow SOPs for non-conforming items.
• Record inspection data and mark acceptance or rejection statuses.
• Interpret blueprints, models, manuals to determine specs and testing procedures.
• Perform in-process and final inspection on sub-assemblies and assembled parts.
• Prepare paperwork and certifications for shipments to customers.

Job description

INSPECTOR CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

Dynomax is growing and expanding! We are seeking an experienced Inspector with a keen eye for detail and a background in electrical testing to join our Connector Assembly team.

Scope Of The Inspector Connector Assembly Role

This Inspectorposition requires employees to inspect or test materials, component parts, and assembled components for deviations from specifications. The position will require the employee to use precision measuring instruments and/or complex test equipment and to record inspection results appropriately.

• Inspect and measure dimensions of products to verify conformance using approved measuring instruments and optical devices.
• Notify supervisors and personnel responsible about rejected products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications in accordance to standard operating procedures.
• Record inspection data, mark items with details on acceptance or rejection status, and follow procedures for non-conforming product.
• Interpret blueprints, models, manuals and other materials to determine specifications, inspection testing procedures and certification methods as well as the measuring instruments required.
• Perform In-Process and Final Inspection on sub-assemblies and assembled parts.
• Prepare paperwork and certifications for shipments to Customers.

Inspector Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Operator, Assembler, or Inspector with knowledge of mechanical inspection
• High School degree or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and various industry and customer specifications
• Skilled using measuring equipment: micrometer; caliper; optical / vision comparator; height gages etc.
• Knowledge of electrical testing equipment: Ohmmeters, Hipot testers, Multimeters, etc. a plus
• Knowledge of GD&T a plus
• Knowledge of IPC610 or IPC620 or IPC J-STD-001 a plus
• Ability to work at a microscope
• Ability to handle miniature sized parts using tweezers and other small hand tools
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and multitask
• Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF
