Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center, part of RTX, seeks an experienced inspector for the second shift. You will master inspection tooling, troubleshoot flow processes, and document engine build and inspection records in SAP. Strong teamwork and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• A&P license preferred.
• Experience in turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair preferred.
• CORE basics/active CORE activity preferred (internal candidates only).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

• Inspect parts before the clean and NDT processes.
• Bench inspection of parts after the clean and NDT processes.
• Provide complete and accurate engine build documentation.
• Meet production/inspection goals and objectives.

Summary of Responsibilities: The principle duties of this position are to perform advanced inspection processes at Columbus Engine Center. Mastering the use of a variety of tooling and measurement equipment to accomplish inspection processes will be required. In addition, you will be required to troubleshoot the inspection flow process, using a variety of problem solving techniques. Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team oriented environment. This is a second shift position.

Complete and review engine package documentation. Enter and reconcile Engine Shop Visit Report (ESVR). Demonstrate commitment to the EH&S and continuous improvement programs by following all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.

Position Requirements: Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A&P License or two years relevant experience preferred. Turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience, preferred in one or more of the following disciplines: Disassembly, Inspection, Assembly. Ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues. CORE Basics and active CORE activity preferred (internal candidates only) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.

Education/Certification: High school graduate or GED U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts A&P License, Military Training, Technical Training, or Jet Engine Inspection Experience.
