Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance professional for the Mount Holly Springs, PA area on a second shift (3:30PM-12:00AM) to perform inspections of raw materials and assemblies, ensure conformance to procedures, and document results.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Willingness to learn inspection techniques and quality methodologies.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and math literacy.

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular quality assessments of raw materials, in process or finished assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality standards.
  • Verify conformance to applicable procedures and other approved documents.
  • Provide acceptance or rejection for compliance to established standards and processes.
  • Document inspection results by completing logs, summarizing re-work and scrap, and inputting data into quality database.
  • Read internal documentation, assembly drawings, customer specifications, military, and industry standards to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all customers and coworkers.
  • Review quality concerns with production teams to improve product quality.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • Willing to be trained further in inspection techniques, quality methodologies, and use of inspection equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Performs regular quality assessments of raw materials, in process or finished assemblies and sub-assemblies for conformance to quality standards

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous QA experience a plus but not required (preferred)

Schedule:

M-F, 3:30PM - 12:00AM (2nd shift) - 10% shift differential is applied when working this shift!

Pay:

starting at $18/hour
