Eaton is seeking an Inspector for 1st shift in Waukesha, WI. The role involves assembling inspections and electrical testing of transformers and regulators across assembly plants, ensuring conformance to quality standards.

Primary duties include various tests, nameplate verification, visual inspection throughout assembly, oil sampling, and data collection while adhering to EQMS policies. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• Preferred: knowledge of electrical prints/schematics (AC/DC fundamentals).
• Experience in electrical inspection / troubleshooting or related electronics work is preferred.
• Transformer or electrical testing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly inspections of transformers/regulators at various locations per procedures.
• Perform electrical testing on assembled transformers/regulators per procedures.
• Inspect nameplates and mark impedance values on nameplates.
• Perform visual inspections during assembly (core/coil, interior, exterior, markings).
• Complete weekly oil sample tests.
• Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.
• Assist Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve shop floor problems.
• Document inspection results per procedures and collect data as required.
• Follow EQMS policies.

Perform electrical testing on assembled single and three-phase transformers/regulators per established procedures. Monitor conformance to quality standards.In this function, you will:• Perform the following tests as required per established procedures but not limited to: ratio (variety), resistance (variety), continuity, VFI, CT, and hipot (applied potential), OX (induced), impulse, power factor, load loss, and core loss• Inspection of unit nameplates, stamp impedance value on nameplates, and secure nameplates to tested units.• Perform visual inspection of units throughout the assembly process per established procedures; including but not limited to: Inspection of core/coil, interior of unit, paint millage, exterior of unit, and decal/stencil placement.• Complete weekly oil sample tests.• Perform minor maintenance of test equipment.• Perform special routine tests when required.• Assisting Engineering and Manufacturing in identifying and resolving shop floor problems.• Completing various company forms to communicate inspection status and other information and to document inspection results per established procedures.• Collecting various types of data per established procedures as require.• Understand and follow the EQMS policies.Qualifications:Required (Basic) Qualifications:• High school graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.• Minimum of (1) One year of manufacturing experience.• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
