Job description

Inspector 1 - 3rd Shift

We are looking for a Inspector 1 – 3rd Shift for our Richmond, IN facility. In this role you will enter customer order information into computer systems, inspects and racks customer products. The Inspector will work on a self-directed capacity in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a variety of customers to understand their ongoing product needs and translate those needs into workable specifications for teammates to follow.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Interact with customers and co-workers in a ‘customer-friendly’ manner.
  • Receive and inspect customer product for processing.
  • Inspect the finished product.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Learn new skills and cross-train into various departments.
  • Act as a member of the monthly ‘Quality Council’.
  • Visual inspection of tools for proper coating.
  • Learn de-fixturing techniques.
  • Post quantities being shipped into the computer system.
  • Pack customer parts for shipping.
  • Use XRF equipment to document coating thickness.
  • Use various shipping software.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribes safety regulations.
  • Conform to current health, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management.

Your Profile:

  • Commits to corporate core values, goals, mission and vision.
  • High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in ordering supplies via the internet.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g. drills, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detailed oriented.
  • Able to lift 30lbs.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
