Job summary

Milestone Industrial LLC is seeking an Inspector in Houston, TX who will conduct inspections on materials, equipment and workmanship in accordance with discipline-specific standards. The role requires extensive QA/QC coordination, detailed documentation, and interaction with project teams.

The position emphasizes ensuring compliance with drawings, codes, and client requirements, while promoting HSSE practices and timely reporting. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting materials, equipment, and workmanship per industry standards.

• Proven track record coordinating QA/QC activities and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and workmanship per API, AWS, ASME, NACE, NEC standards.
• Verify drawings, specs, codes, and client requirements compliance.
• Document results with measurements, photos, and non-conformances.
• Prepare and submit inspection reports on time and in required formats.
• Log and track non-conformances with QA/QC teams for resolution.
• Attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and meetings as required.
• Ensure inspection tools/instruments are calibrated and used properly.
• Monitor subcontractor work and report deviations from plans.
• Support acceptance testing, punch lists, and commissioning.
• Pursue opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and relationships.
• Maintain strict adherence to Quality Control during work.
• Observe HSSE procedures per company, client, and regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:

• Conduct inspections on materials, equipment, and workmanship per discipline-specific standards (e.g., API, AWS, ASME, NACE, NEC).
• Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, industry codes, and client requirements .
• Document inspection results, including measurements, observations, photographs, and non-conformances .
• Generate and submit detailed inspection reports in required formats and timelines .
• Identify, log, and track non-conformances, coordinating with QA/QC teams for resolution .
• Attend toolbox talks, safety briefings, and project meetings as required .
• Ensure that tools, instruments, and procedures used in inspection are calibrated and properly applied .
• Monitor subcontractor work and report deviations from plans or poor workmanship .
• Support final acceptance testing, punch-list completion, and commissioning as needed .
• Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen customer relationships.
• Continuously practices Quality Control while executing the work.
• Actively promotes and personally observes all company, client, and regulatory Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) procedures
• Requirements:
• 15+ years inspection experience
• Ability to travel when required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and solution advocate.
