Job summary

Century-Furniture is seeking a quality control inspector in Hickory, NC to review furniture for defects before shipment. You will inspect assemblies, upholstery matching, stitches, welt sizes, and overall finish.

The role requires physical stamina with lifting up to 100 lb with assistance and the ability to stand, walk, and bend for full shifts. Prior inspection or repair experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous inspection/repair experience preferred.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect furniture and place on lift as needed.
• Check tickets for information and instructions.
• Remove loose strings and dust from pieces.
• Clean soiled areas with appropriate cleaners.
• Check stitching, welt size, and fabric match on upholstered pieces.
• Assemble beds to ensure proper alignment.
• Place deck labels and hang tags on each piece.
