Job summary

AerSale, Inc. is seeking an Inspector/Lead Inspector in Goodyear, AZ to oversee aircraft inspection work, ensure compliance with FAA data, and verify tools and paperwork.

The role requires an A&P license and at least three years of hands-on A&P experience, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety. You'll contribute to maintaining high standards, coordinate with maintenance leadership, and may be subject to pre-employment and periodic DOT drug testing as part of this safety‑sensitive

Qualifications

• Must have an A&P license.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience utilizing A&P license.
• HS diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Accept or reject work on inspection forms.
• Surveillance of all work in progress.
• Ensure work inspected complies with FAA data.
• Verify all work cards are signed off.
• Verify calibrated tooling is current.
• Assist leadership to ensure health and safety practices.
• This is a safety sensitive position and subject to DOT drug testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Lead Inspector.

Job Description:

Compensation:

• Hourly Pay Rate Range: $22.00 to $36.00
• Additional Hourly Pay Rate: $2.00 per license

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accept or reject work accomplished for all items generated on the inspection forms.
• Responsible for the surveillance of all work in progress.
• Assure that all work inspected is in accordance with current FAA approved technical data.
• Assure that all routine, non-routine, and customer request work cards are correctly completed and properly signed off.
• Verify calibrated tooling used is current.
• Assist the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, and Chief Inspector to ensure health and safety practices are followed.
• This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to submit to pre-employment and periodic DOT regulations for drug and alcohol testing.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Inspector.

Education and Experience:

• Must have an Airframe & Power Plant (A & P) License.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience utilizing A & P License.
• H.S. diploma or G.E.D. certificate.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary pre-employment test for drugs as per the DOT regulations

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, crawl, work in tight spaces and handle objects. The employee is occasionally required to push/pull, stack, reach above shoulder level or carry light-weight materials.
• May be required to occasionally lift up to 10lbs.
